Please join us in welcoming Executive Directors Karin Emprechtinger und Kerstin Derntl to our new leadership team. At the same time, we bid farewell to former Executive Director Markus Schweiger, who sucessfully led the Foundation over the past ten years; we are grateful for his service. 

Karin Emprechtinger has been managing areas of responsibility of the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation since January 25, 2023, applying her experience in implementing strategic goals and team leadership. Her dedication to creating space for the exchange of know-how and knowledge transfer aligns perfectly with the Foundation‘s goals. We are excited to leverage her insights and vision in our ongoing projects and initiatives.

Kerstin Derntl is renowned for her contributions in process improvement and the implementation of new funding programs. With a proven track record in supporting groundbreaking projects, she is poised to drive innovative strategies that will further the Foundation's mission. Her passion for new ideas and education will be invaluable as we look to the future.

These new appointments come at a pivotal time as we continue to honor the legacy of the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation while advancing our commitment to scientific collaboration, professional knowledge transfer, economic development, promoting innovative projects, and cultural exchange.
