My Ph.D. thesis focuses on the role of nutrition in kidney disease and the therapeutic potential of a ketogenic diet in a mouse model of glomerulonephritis. My research stay at the University of Pennsylvania in the Lab of Katalin Susztak allows me to learn the implementation and analysis of single-cell RNA sequencing. These techniques will help us in the future to better understand the complex molecular mechanisms of nutrition in inflammatory kidney diseases. My stay at ‘Penn’ started in August 2022 and would not have been possible without the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation.
