On the occasion of a state dinner in Washington, DC on February 19, 2019, Austrian Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz handed a copy of The Marshall Plan - Since 1947 to U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo as a gift. The book, commissioned by the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation and authored by Günter Bischof (The University of New Orleans) and Hans Petschar (Austrian National Library), details the history of the European Recovery Program (The Marshall Plan) in Austria.
