— Deadline extended to Monday, August 17, 2020 —
We are pleased to inform you that the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation will sponsor up to 160 fee waivers (first come first serve) for online participation for our U.S. alumni in this year's European Forum Alpbach (EFA), taking place from 23rd of August until 3rd of September 2020.
Over the course of around two weeks, you will be able to dive into a world of inspiring live talks with world renowned experts, to interact with and connect to EFA speakers and participants, and to take part in numerous online activities. The official programme will be available on 7th of July 2020. More information on the online platform we will be using will follow soon.
In addition to the regular EFA symposia covering health, the arts, technology, politics, law, economics and finance, we organized a decentralized programme in cooperation with the Forum Alpbach Network (FAN), the global association of our scholarship alumni. The FAN will contribute interactive online sessions and local events from all over the world. If you happen to be in Brussels, Zurich, Vienna or many more cities in and outside of Europe between 23rd of August and 3rd of September, and provided that national anti-corona measures allow for it, you may join one of these hubs and attend its plenaries, talks, hikes etc. We will keep you posted on all events taking place this summer.
NEXT STEPS:
In order to confirm your online participation and to help us planning for next year, we would kindly ask you inform us about your interest in participating in the EFA 2020 no later than August 17, 2020 by sending an e-mail to This email address is being protected from spambots.
